Prehistoric
Two pieces of humanly-struck flint comprising a Mesolithic bladelet fragment and a Bronze-age horned scraper were retained.

Medieval
Two sherds of possible 12th century pottery found close to easternmost field boundary.

Concentration of ten 13th-14th century pot sherds discovered near easternmost field boundary. Five additional fragments of similarly-dated pottery also scattered across remainder of walked area.

Ten pieces of 15th-mid 16th century pottery located across easternmost half of investigated area, with six of these sherds again being found by the easternmost field boundary.

Post-medieval
Post-medieval pottery recorded over whole of walked area. Spread of Post-medieval brick / tile also documented across field, although greater quantities (perhaps indicative of a ‘metalled’ track or surface) were found alongside the westernmost edge of the field walking grid.

Miscellaneous
Glassy green slag, slate and fire-cracked flint recorded over much of field.

Method: Complete grid survey conducted over area available for walking.
