The excavation of two archaeological trial-trenches within this field has revealed the following features.
Prehistoric
A possible Bronze Age boundary.
Romano-British
The base of a previously unrecorded Roman road, plus a seemingly associated ditch and two post-holes. This road has also been traced in Culvers Meadow (1243) and Butt Field (1267).
