P113/63 2007 Goldings (1911 Fir Cottage)

As with many of the smaller tenements in Barcombe this is an enclosure from the manorial waste, in this case the manor of Balneath, typically a narrow strip of land beside a highway. In 1839 the cottage was described as 'newly erected'.
