P113/38 Cottages, now lost, on site of Holman's Bridge Farmyard

A small copyhold tenement of the manor of Barcombe. It is of note that the family who owned the tenement gave their name to the bridge crossing the stream to the south of the property which in turn gave a name to the farm. In 1708 the property was described as a cottage, barn, orchard and garden ½ acre by Holman's Bridge.
