P113/19/2 2007 Panthill, Spithurst (TA 472)

This is one of several areas of land owned by John Constable, a builder, in 1840. His land was held of three manors Barcombe, Camoys Court and Allington. This is one of his larger landholdings held of the manor of Allington which Constable purchased from the Lucas Shadwell family in 1828.

On the 1873/4 OS map the farm was Carpenter's Farm.
