P113/28/1 2007 Old School House, Clappers.

Like so many of the smaller tenements in Barcombe this holding was formed from an enclosure from manorial waste, typically a long narrow strip of land adjacent to a highway. In 1840 James Funnell also held the cottages at Clay Corner (P113/28 see TA 755, 756).
