Sewells Farm

826
(pipe trench)

827
(spoil heap)

The farmhouse dates back to c.1450 - 1475.

An inspection of a narrow pipe trench cutting across the front garden and an overgrown spoil heap associated with earlier building work failed to uncover any features or artefacts of archaeological significance. Occasional fragments of 19th/20th C. brick/tile and china (not quantified) were noted on the spoil heap, which was located at the rear of the property.
