The sheet lacks title and a date. It depicts the core of the Barcombe place estate before the mansion house was built. Although the field names associated with Burtenshaw's Farm appear in the list of field names the section of the map that depicted the farm has been cut off, presumably for the benefit of the purchaser of that part of the property. This map is in the Grantham archive and would have provided part of the record of their landownership.
