Handlye Farm (lost) TA 1178

The architectural style of the house depicted in the picture of 1787 suggests that it was of no great antiquity. However, medieval pottery has been recovered from the house site suggesting that there was a medieval building on the same site. However, there is no evidence to suggest that the site was continually occupied - more fieldwork work would be required to establish exactly when the site was in use.
