Fieldwalking: Footpath Field (Hither Bush Field) H144, H145, H147

Prehistoric
A total of 21 pieces of flint were found in Footpath Field, with no discerned concentration. They range from the Mesolithic through to later Neolithic/Bronze Age in date. Mostly debitage, they include a crude notched piece, an end scraper, and a possible (unfinished?) Later Neolithic oblique arrowhead (K6).

Medieval
A single sherd of late 12th-early 13th C. pottery, one sherd of certain 13th C. origin and seven pieces of 13th-14th C. pot were recorded. These artefacts were concentrated within the north-easternmost area of the field.

Post-medieval
An 18th C. copper coin (1/2 d) was also discovered.
