Fieldwalking: Offham Hill H416

Prehistoric
An assemblage of 220 pieces of worked flint were randomly collected from six locations on Offham Hill. As might be expected, given the adjacent causewayed enclosure, the majority of the assemblage is of Neolithic date, with most of the flakes and blades soft hammer-struck (possibly with a soft stone hammer). Few had any evidence of platform preparation. Two possible axe-thinning flakes were also recovered.

Chesterdean Bottom H416

Prehistoric
31 pieces of debitage of Neolithic date were collected from ground disturbed by rabbits.
