Fieldwalking: Sheep Down H416, H417

A brief inspection of field 'borders' was undertaken by Lewes Archaeological Group during the 1970s. "Nothing of sufficient interest was found to suggest the need for a more thorough survey" (see Sussex Archaeological Collections 116, 143-146). The precise westernmost boundary of the surveyed area is somewhat vague.

Prehistoric
18 pieces of worked flint of Neolithic date were found, including a possible side scraper.
